Using Recurring Invoices you can create invoices and send them to customers on a recurring schedule. It can automatically generate and send an invoice according to a user’s set schedule. If you run a small business, it may require you to send invoices often and that’s where recurring invoices are quite helpful. They are now supported by most Invoicing Tools.
On the other hand, with Recurring Billing, you can charge your customer automatically for any service provided on a prearranged schedule. However, recurring billing requires you to get the customer’s permission one time up-front after which it continues until the customer withdraws the permission.
The main difference is: Recurring Invoice is a process of repeatedly issuing the invoice for the customer i.e. raising the bills, and Recurring Billing is charging them repeatedly for a prearranged amount of time. The main benefit of Recurring Billing is the convenience to the customer so that they don’t have to repeatedly provide credit card information for a routine payment.
